Dayana is a decorative water hyacinth vase woven in a sturdy metal frame. The natural color fits harmoniously into any living environment and especially corners and niches come into their own through the tall, slender vase.
The woven vase is particularly suitable as a boho-style home accessory for dried flowers, but can also be used for cut flowers if you use a waterproof container as an inner container.

The water hyacinth is a tropical aquatic plant that grows in rivers and lakes. It actually comes from South America, but was also introduced in Southeast Asia. There it is considered a weed because it reproduces incredibly quickly and can cover entire bodies of water with a carpet of leaves. The resulting lack of light and oxygen causes all life under water to die. Therefore, the plants must be removed regularly. In order to prepare the plants for further processing, the leaves are cut off and the thick stems are dried in the sun for three to seven days. The result is a sustainable raw material that is available in abundance here at Soeji for many woven goods!
